Elaine Young, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 24, 2024, in her 74th year. Born on November 12th, 1950, Elaine was known for her unwavering dedication to those she loved. She was always ready with a listening ear, sage advice, and a hearty meal, make her home a sanctuary for many. Elaine leaves behind a legacy of excellence and dedication. Elaine’s love for life was evident in everything she did. Whether she was tending to her garden or cooking a meal, she enjoyed every endeavor. Elaine is survived by her loving husband James Young, and children David Manson (grandchildren; Mackenzie and Kaylee) and Andrea Patulak (husband Timothy and grandchildren; James and Adelaide), step-children Chris Young (wife Shelley and grandchild; Gavin) Debbie Marling (husband Chris and grandchildren; Spencer and Connor) and a host of extended family and friends who will continue to celebrate her life and keep her memory alive. Friends and family are invited to Turner Family Funeral Home, 53 Main St., Dundas on Tuesday, September 3rd for a visitation from 12p.m. – 1p.m followed by a formal Celebration of Elaine’s Life in the chapel at 1p.m. Burial to take place at Parkside Cemetery following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

Elaine was such a beautiful soul. I have lived beside her and James for 8 years. She was so generous with her time, her baking and her hospitality. She brought me much comfort during my own time of loss. I shall miss her kindness and friendship. RIP my friend.
