Passed away peacefully on June 26, 2024 at Margaret’s Place in Dundas. Loving wife of the late Robert (Bob) Page. Predeceased by her sister Barbara. Proud mother of Chris (Nina), Carol, and Sandy Gillies (Grant). Adoring grandmother of Taylor (Greg), Matt (Ryley), Jake (Jade), Adam (Lily) and Quinten. Lou was a lifelong resident of the greater Hamilton area and obtained a Bachelor of Arts from McMaster University as a mature student. She was an avid reader and loved learning new things, often making her way through several books a week. She enjoyed travelling and was dedicated to her daily ‘brain training routine’ of crosswords and complex Sudoku puzzles. She was an incredible cook and baker, but loved nothing more than eating Twizzlers red licorice (and not having to share!). Lou was a skilled bridge player and enjoyed her weekly card games with many friends, including Jean, Mary, and Heather. The family extends their sincere thanks to the amazing staff and volunteers at Margaret’s Place for the wonderful care and support they provided throughout her end-of-life journey. At her request, there will be no visitation or service. Cremation has taken place. We love you Grandma Lou!! You will be forever in our hearts. XOXO. In lieu of flowers, please do something nice for someone today in Lou’s memory.
Our sincerest condolences to your family..We always remember your family (Marton family across Rd. Seneca Drive.)

Lou’s friends at the Dundas Senior Citizens Club mourn her loss. She played duplicate bridge there for many years. The club has donated $50 to Margaret’s Place in her memory.
Hi Pages. Your mom was such a great lady. We loved being neighbours and friends with her and your family for so many years. Remembering our many family trips and the Twizzlers of course. She was kind, and funny and a good friend.
Many blessings
Jane and Walt.
The Lou Page family, I am so sorry for your loss. I met Lou years ago playing Duplcate bridge. The bridge players and many other here at Highgate miss Lou.
Lou was a good friend. She was a great partner and opponent in bridge. Thank you Sandy for keeping me informed about Lou’s time at Margaret’s Place. I will miss her.
We are very sorry for your loss. Mom and Lou played bridge together in Dundas for many years. Lou was a kind and loveable person. Lou loved her Twizzlers. We will miss Lou and will always be in our hearts.
My condolences to the family. I played bridge at the Dundas Senior Centre, and have fond memories of Lou as a fellow bridge player and a sweet lady. RIP Lou.
Sue Meek.
I was thinking of Luella today and was sorry to find this notice. She was a loving, giving lady and I will always remember her kindness and friendship with my parents. (Her cousin Len and Marguerite Walker). Makes me think of the many sing-song parties with extended family at the beach. Great memories. So sorry for your loss.
