It is with heavy hearts that we sadly announce the sudden passing of our beloved husband, Papa and Opa, Michael Yoshimoto on April 27th, 2024, in his 81st year. Michael was born in Litton, BC, and he leaves behind his loving wife Dineke and devoted daughters Esther (Richard), Audrey (George) and Christa (Rich) and grandchildren, Aidan, Noah, Evan and Andie. A long time resident of Dundas, Michael loved life and cherished his time with family and hobbies of fishing, skiing and car mechanics. With a career as an Electrical Technologist and interest in mechanics he could tackle any challenge that came his way. We will miss seeing him along the shores of Georgian Bay. As per Michael’s wishes, there will be a private family service at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Michael’s memory can be gratefully made to the Meaford Hospital Foundation.
I did not know Mike for very long but long enough to know what a diligent, thoughtful and just a lovely human being he was. I will miss him greatly.
My heartfelt thoughts to his family that I know he loved so very much.
I worked with Mike for several years at Dundas Hydro. He was a fantastic person and a very kind caring man. My thoughts go to his family at this very difficult time.
Dear Dineke and family.
As long as the memories remain, they will inspire new life. I hope that time will heal your grief and able to take some comfort from the many tributes I know will be paid to Michael, by those who also held him in high regard.
He will be greatly missed as a friend and neighbour and my thoughts are with you all at this difficult time.
I am saddened to hear of Mike’s passing.
Mike was a kind and gentle man. It was a pleasure to work with Mike for years at Dundas Hydro and then in Hamilton.
My condolences to all his family.

Good bye to a very special friend. Our sincere condolences to his beautiful family who he was so very proud of. May he rest in peace.
To Audrey and family. So sorry to hear about the passing of your dad. My thoughts are with you.
Dineke and family. Mike and I were shocked and so very saddened to read of Mike’s passing. We both bought our first homes in Pleasant Valley in 1971 and were neighbors for 13 years. Esther and our daughter Sarah were best friends in the early days. Mike was a very kind and considerate neighbor and I know he will be terribly missed by his family. Our condolences to you all.
I have such amazing childhood memories spending so much time at Mama and Papa Yoshimoto’s house. I cant believe he is gone. Thinking of all his loved ones during this really hard time.
