With heavy hearts and deep sadness, we announce the passing of Brian W. Howe (August 21st, 1959) on Tuesday, February 13th peacefully in his sleep.

He also leaves behind his parents, Leona and Archie, his sister Bonnie (John), brother Gord (Sheila) as well as many nephews, nieces, grand-nephews and nieces.
Brian was employed (and occasionally worked) at Stelco Hilton Works when he wasn’t pulling pranks or just having fun from 1979 until his retirement in 2010. Shayla and Tyler, I’m so sorry to hear of your Dad’s passing. Brian was awesome. Hold those memories close ❤️
Sending deepest condolences to all of the family. He was truly such a wonderful person. We were so blessed to have him as a neighbor, but moreso, as a friend. He was always the first person to offer a hand, no matter what the task. He was an absolute gem, and will be missed so very much.
My sincere sympathies and condolences go out to all of Brian’s family and friends. Growing up as a cousin to Brian, I have a lot of fond memories of family functions. I remember him as a kind and gentle mannered guy with a great sense of humour. His presence and pleasant smile will be greatly missed.
“Occasionally worked”…LOL. Some good memories working as your partner on the floor and some of the laughs we shared will not be forgotten anytime soon.
Brian was a great guy. Always had good times working, golfing or just having a beer with. Some of my favourite times with him were our golf trips down south and the memories they have given me. Brian was one of the good ones gone way to soon. My condolences to all of his family and fiends.
Brian was one of the best. We worked together at Stelco. Our trips down south for golf are some of my fondest memories. Brian always spoke lovingly of his family; he was proud of his children. My condolences to the family and friends.
Brian was such a kind hearted guy and a father to all the boys who couch surfed at his house. Thanks for the great memories, that will last a lifetime.
I am very sorry to hear of Brian’s passing.
As Shift Foreman on Brian’s crew at the Caster, I had the privilege of working with one of the most mechanically inclined individuals ever. Brian could accomplish any work task and enjoyed doing it. If you were having a down day, Brian was the person to be around to pick you up. He always had great humour and would make you laugh and occasionally play a prank on you while walking through the lunchroom. Brian was a well respected guy and my sincere condolences to his family. Will always be remembered.
Our sincerest condolences
My sincere condolences to Brian’s family. I played men’s hockey and golfed with Brian on occasion. A great friend, did everything with a smile. Great memories.
Our deepest sympathy to the Howe Family, Brin was nothing short of an amazing man, friend, and co-worker in the Stelco Caster, we shared many, many laughs together, he even crafted and made my family a beautiful wooden Deacons bench and gave it to us for Christmas back in 1998, which we have cherished for many years, a true Artist in all that he did, he will be sadly missed, much love, RIP Porch Monkey xo

We only knew Brian for a short time but could tell he was an amazing person. We were lucky to have him as a neighbour and he will be truly missed. Condolences to the family, especially Louise.
Louise – I just got the very sad news today. I am so sorry for your loss. This must feel like a huge hole in your life but know that you have friends and family around to call on.
So sorry to hear of Brian‘s passing. Reading the comments reminds me of Brian’s sense of humour in the 70s-80s. My thoughts and prayers go out to friends and family at this difficult time.
