Passed away suddenly on December 28, 2022 in his 61st year at the Juravinksi Hospital surrounded by his family. Beloved husband of Barbara (nee Adams) for 36 years. Loving and proud father to Sarah (Predeceased), Rebecca (Paul) Bovbel , and Patrick (Sonja). Caring grandfather to Arthur and Lucy Bovbel and Oliver Vedell. Loving brother to Colin and Alexandra. Son to John and Barbara (Predeceased). Sean was an animal lover, he will be missed by his dogs Jack and Milly. He will be sadly missed by his CHAM Radio family. He was a lover of all good music, especially Rush. Friends and Family are invited to Turner Family Funeral Home, 53 Main St. Dundas, on Saturday, January 7th from 10a.m.-12p.m. for a Celebration of Sean’s Life. The family requests that masks be worn during the Celebration of Life. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society – Ovarian Cancer.

I never worked with Sean directly. He was at CHAM, the the HWDSB. I was at CKOC. But our paths did cross once in a while in the community.
He was a very amazing man. Sincere condolences to Barb, aĺ his grieving colleagues and friends and the vedell family.
I have such fond memories of Sean back when we were the Ed Centre techs together in the early 2000s. He was so kind to me at a time in my life when very few others were, and we laughed and drank our Diet Cokes and agreed to disagree on Rush while I would criticize his playlist and he’d criticize mine. We agreed on country music, though, and loved to talk about music and tech and stereos until the sun went down. I’d known Sean for 20 years and I will always be so eternally grateful for his friendship and kindness and giving me such confidence when I was new at the job. My heart goes out to you, Barb. I’m so sorry to hear of Sean’s passing and I feel so bad for his wife and family. It’s bad enough they lost their daughter but to lose their dad/husband, too just seems too cruel.
