It is with heavy hearts that we announce his sudden passing, at his home in Dundas, November 26, 2022. Much loved husband of Sandy, stepdad and friend to Jennifer Lavigne (Jeff) and Kevin Townsend (Christine). Proud Grumpy to Emily Banks. Brother of Wendy (late Norm). Predeceased by his parents, Peter and Agnes and brothers Mel and Al. Roy was an uncle, cousin, and friend to many. He had been retired from Stelco for over 13 years after 30 years of service. There will be a celebration of his life on Sunday, December 11, 2022, upstairs at the Dundas Legion, Branch 36, 280 King Street West from 1-4 pm. A time is dedicated at 2 p.m. to share stories and memories. Cremation has taken place.
Roy will be so missed. I always told him he was my favourite brother-in-law. He’d always laugh and say “Dean I’m your only one.” I’d tell him just as long as he knew then we were good. I’ll miss him and our laughs. Rest easy Roy

So sorry to hear of Roy’s passing. Found out too late to attend. I knew Roy from sea cadets and had many years of fun with that crew. Always laughing and a fun lad. Will miss him
