Passed away peacefully at The Meadows LTC on December 28, 2021 in her 94th year. Dear daughter of Ovid and Sadie Minchin. Loved sister of John Minchin. Dear friend of Judy Willson Trotman, Elaine deRuiter, Julie Evans and Tracey Snelling. Reta was a long time employee at Stelco. Reta was a proud Navy Reserve Veteran. She enjoyed travelling, golfing and curling. As per Reta’s request, there will be no service. Cremation has taken place. Donations can be made in memory to the RBG or the SPCA.
Remembering Reta fondly through her friendship with Betty Morrow, another Stelco employee. We had many good times; Reta together with Betty, and then with those of us who met Reta through Betty.
Sorry to hear of Reta’s passing. Many years ago Reta was friends with Betty Johnson (Snelling) and we remember the cottage Reta had in the 60’s up here in Howdenvale on lake Huron where the Johnson’s still have cottages. That cottage Reta had is still in use. Betty passed away earlier this year, and Frank a few years before but Betty did remember Reta as a friend from the years gone by.
