It is with great sadness that our family announce the passing of Larry Cecil Jones, peacefully at the Juravinski Hospital after a short but courageous battle with cancer on August 22, 2021, at the age of 61. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Jennifer (nee Hood), of almost 29 years, and three children Nicholas, Jordann and Emily. Caring son to Eric and Beverly (predeceased), brothers Ray (Allison), Ron (Wendy) and sisters Brenda (Michel) and Glenda (Christopher). Larry will be greatly missed by his extended family, including his in-laws many nephews, nieces, friends, and colleagues.
Larry was always committed to living a very active lifestyle and was an avid cyclist and sports enthusiast. He passed on his joy of being active to his children whether he was cycling, coaching hockey or roller blading with his family. He was a very invested Dad who did everything to always be present in his children’s lives.
Larry had many hobbies alongside his active lifestyle and was very inquisitive by nature. He was a “do it yourselfer” on many projects, enjoyed fixing cars, loved music and photography and was fondly known as the family technical guru.
He will always be remembered for his willingness to help others whenever needed and for being a caring and thoughtful person. Larry will be forever missed and live on in our hearts forever.
Friends and family are invited for a visitation at the Turner Family Funeral Home, 53 Main St., Dundas, ON, on Saturday, August 28, 2021 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Due to ongoing Covid restrictions, a private family service will immediately follow.
Larry was very proud of the efforts of his wife Jennifer and her close knit group of friends, The Jersey Girls, for their ongoing passion and commitment to making a difference in the lives of patients and families on their cancer journeys. At Larry’s request, donations in his memory can be made to the Juravinski Hospital through The Jersey Girls charity.

Beautifully written.
Your heart is heavy and each breath is a struggle I’m sure, but I’ve seen your strength and perseverance Jenny.
Stop and rest awhile now and then when you are ready, your body will stand up once again and carry on. With your sweet man smiling over your shoulder… much love and respect

Larry would be so proud of how you are coping with this sudden loss. We are here for you today and going forward. Much love Honor, Brendan, Sophie & Thomas xxxx
Larry was a great father, husband and friend. He was truly one of the nicest men I have had the pleasure to know and work with. We spent many hours talking about the children and their sports, particularly cycling. We got to know each other well while working together on large systems projects at Konstant. As a Project Manager, he was skilled, resourceful and energetic. The success of a great many of our projects was due in most part to Larry’s relationships and tenacity with subcontractors, building officials and customers. I am sorry for your loss as you grieve his passing and I grieve with you for the loss of my good friend and colleague.
My heart felt condolences Jones family on your loss.
I first got to know Larry in 2001 as a coworker at Pacific Westeel. I will always remember Larry for his smile and positive attitude no matter the situation. And always happy to help out in a fix.
We only meet a very few times outside of work for a trail ride or day up at Molsport watching the races.
Wish there had been more…
