Dear Cousins who may or may not know of me,
Your father was my uncle, one of the seven older brothers of my mother, the late Sandra Spinney Forsythe. I am so sorry to hear that your father has passed away. I have not seen him since shortly before your mother died. I live in the area and I used to go and visit your parents when my mother would come to visit in the summer. As a little girl I remember your visits to Nova Scotia when our grandmother was living. Your Nova Scotia family was always so excited when you would all come home for a visit!
Of the 12 Spinney children of Bessie Schofield Spinney and Emery Spinney, only 2 are still living, Harlan (93years) and Blake (78 years). They are still living in the community of your father’s youth, Black River, near Wolfville, Nova Scotia. My father, Bernard Forsythe, still plays cards with them every week. Family in Nova Scotia will make sure they are aware of your loss.
Both of your parents were always very kind and lovely people. I have never seen your father when he did not have a smile on his face. It is so sad to know that you have again lost a dear family member.
Thinking of you all in this very sad time.
Rebecca (Becky) Forsythe Webster
Sending sincere condolences.
You are in my thoughts and prayers
