We were so sorry to see this news in the Hamilton Spectator.
Cousin Barb was a fun, loving, welcoming woman. She remembered everyone’s name at Vanstone Family Reunions too! We will remember her as a lovely, sharp-witted, and spirited member of our extended family.
Rest in Peace XOXO from Andrew & Lauri
Our deepest sympathy on your loss. We have had the pleasure of being Barb’s neighbour for three years. Barb was the most welcoming, thoughtful woman and we enjoyed having many conversations with her. We will miss her.
My sincere sympathy to the family of Barbara. I’ve known Barbara since her days at Barton Stone United. She had recently sent a lovely note to me after my father passed away, reminding me of my parents friendship and their visits at the Pop Concerts. A kind, caring woman and good friend. My parents were Flo & Russ Johnston.
We are deeply saddened of Barbara’s passing. She was a dear friend and supportive to us over many years of singing and playing music together. She will be very missed.
With our love,
I am so sorry to hear this sad news. I have known Barbara since she joined the Thursday Afternoon Singers as our pianist. She brought enthusiasm and dedication as well as talent to our group. I always enjoyed chatting with her after church on Sundays when she sang in the Chancel choir. She will be missed.
My sincere condolences to the family on Barbara’s passing. We spent many happy hours delivering meals on wheels for VON and many delicious lunches after we retired from serving. I’ll miss Barb’s smile and herstories about her family.
Dave, Ron and Margie, I’m so sorry to hear about your Mom’s passing. My condolences to your families. She was a lovely lady and I have fond memories of our visits when we were kids. Take care.
It was always a pleasure to converse with “Aunt” Barb over the years. You could tell she enjoyed life and all it provided to her. Cherish your memories.
My thoughts are with you as you say goodbye today, but she will live on, in your memories.
I was sadden to hear of Barb’s passing. I have fond memories of Barbara and working
together at the JCC ( previously the Cancer Centre). Her kindness , soft smile and wit always made both staff and patients happy to share time with Barbara. I can still recall her little giggle. She and Dr. Fig were a force to behold….My thoughts are with you all and she will always hold a special place in my memories and the memories
of many JCC staff..
