Hello
I am so sorry for your loss.
I had that privilege of working with Bob for many years at the Hamilton Regional Cancer Centre. I first met him as a student in the early 80’s, when he taught us brachtherapy, and his wealth of experience really helped us understand the subject. As a Radiation Therapist, I remember his wry sense of humour and that he always had a smile (and a giggle) as he passed by. Bob always seemed to be at the Centre, no matter the time of day or the weather, and was especially supportive when we had unit troubles. He was dedicated to his work and those he worked with. We always knew we could count on him.
So sorry to hear of Bob’s passing. I volunteered with Bob for Dundas Meals on Wheels for over 5 years. He was my mentor when he decided to reduce his time as Day Captain with Meals, looking forward to taking off in his trailer and travelling with his family.
I am so grateful for his kindness and patience while teaching me the ropes. Bob had such a well thought out and organized system (the engineer in him, I’m sure) that I use to this day.
My sympathies to his family.
