McKee, William Patrick “Bill” – It is with great sadness we announce Bill’s sudden and unexpected passing on Monday, February 11, 2019 at age 59. He will be dearly loved and missed always by his wife Anna of 33 years; sons Ryan (Francine Cabral), Bradley and Eric; mother Joan McKee Walsh; brother Robert; sisters Linda McKee-Kinloch and Sandra McKittrick (Ken); granddaughter Raine, sister-in-law Margaret Dubiel and brother-in-law Edward Dubiel as well as his nieces and nephews, Jessica, Anthony, Nicole, Kristie and Connor; step-brothers and sisters and his devoted dog Kash. Predeceased by his father Donald Francis McKee and step-father Leo Walsh. Bill was truly a selfless, all around person, with a zest for life and gave so much to all he loved and knew. He lived by example and never took life for granted, living each and every day to the fullest. He loved his family and friends, he was a wonderful father and husband and he enjoyed fishing, boating, skiing, playing hockey and just being outside enjoying nature. Friends will be received by the family on Monday, February 18th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Turner Family Funeral Home, 53 Main Street, Dundas. Bill’s Mass will be held at ST. AUGUSTINE’S CHURCH, 58 Sydenham Street, Dundas on Tuesday, February 19th at 10:00 a.m. Interment St. Augustine’s Cemetery. If you so wish, donations to the Canadian Mental Health Association or McMaster Children’s Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
Did not know Bill well but played hockey with him on the Last Call team in KW over the last few years- always had a smile on his face on and off the ice.

We had many good times at hockey, skiing, snowmobiling, ATV’ing and fishing. I never did understand why you liked catching them but were not big on eating them! We will all miss your big smile and big heart!

Bill’s passing will leave a big hole in our lives. So many memories…going back to high school for John. We will miss you.

Bill was a great guy with a big heart who will be missed. I will always remember the fun times that we had with the boys at Swede’s cottage, hockey tourneys (especially the bus rides), and post-game debriefs at Juniors.

Bill was a great guy, with a big heart and warming smile. His hairstyle was always a point of discussion in the room, our trip to Montreal in 2011 was a great adventure and championship. Bill loved life and enjoyed every moment. He will be missed by all.
Bill has skated away but his legacy will always include a passionate love for hockey, a community of grateful team mates, and a generous sense of ‘team’ which he ‘lived’ and wholly embraced. Bill was a member of our recreational club, the Tri-City Dinos, for many years. He always entered the arena with a gregarious, engaging presence, lighting up the room with a broad smile and complete devotion to friends. Bill, who we affectionately called ‘Hillbilly’, was a fierce fore-checker. He enjoyed roaring into tight spaces where sandpaper ruled. After hand-shakes and high fives, Bill would pack up his bag and enjoy the fellowship of his hockey mates in pubs, arena lobbies, hotel rooms; wherever momentum went. The final whistle has now sounded, but Bill will always be remembered as a unique and loved friend both on and off the ice. Amongst the stars, Bill, you are #1…..
Bill was an all around good guy, a thoroughly decent human being and solid family man. He was liked and respected; someone you could trust and rely on. He had a crazy creative streak that showed when he dressed for Halloween (convincingly) as a Glam Rocker, and built a fabulous haunted house for his workmates one year that had some truly scary elements. It’s hard not to smile when you think of these aspects of Bill. He will long be remembered and sorely missed by many.

We both attended St. Vincent De Paul, I have very fond memories of skating in your backyard and you calling us in for lunch and having cheese whiz and ketchup sandwiches. I am sorry we drifted apart but the memories will be there forever. – David Molnar & Family
