Peacefully, with his family by his side, on Monday, December 17, 2018, in his 90th year. Predeceased by his loving wife of 55 years, Thelma (2005). Missed and loved dearly by Betty Verrall. Much loved Dad of Clyde (Janice) and Stephen (Traci). Cherished Grandpa of Michael, Kaitlyn, Jeremy and Amanda. Survived by his brother Stanley (Ann) and family. Predeceased by his parents, Sydney and Edna Wickens. Gordon started his electrical career with Dynes Electric. he and Thelma raised their boys in Carlisle, where he was a Scout Leader and member of the Sertoma Club, before moving to St. Catharines for his career with Ontario Hydro. They retired to Dundas, where he enjoyed volunteering at the RBG. Gord will fondly be remembered for his love of family, sailing, dogs, growing tomatoes and sharing good times with family and friends. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
