May 5, 1924 – May 16, 2015
June Madge Hodgkin (nee Lane) Born in Hamilton May 5, 1924 – It is with profound sadness and broken hearts we announce the passing of our beloved Mom and Nanny. On May 16, 2015 (Dads birthday) she was reunited with the love of her life Chris (1996). June will be forever loved and always remembered by her son Brian (Barb 2008) and family; daughters Debbie (Tony Lennie) and grandson Hudson; Kimmy (Paul Ricciardi) and grandchildren Brittaney (Jesse Freeman), Adam, Matthew and Daniel; sister-in-law Margaret, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, especially Donna and Wayne Ryder, and innumerable close friends. Family, friends and her faith were her passion. Her generosity and kind spirit stretched far and wide. June enjoyed curling, both watching and playing, and was a member of the Dundas Granite Curling Club for many years. She loved playing cards with all of her friends (member of The Whipped Cream Club for over 70 years) and relatives, reading, knitting, and spending time with her family. June always said “We should enjoy here while we’re here, because there’s no here there” and lived her life accordingly. She was an inspiration to everyone’s life that she touched. A Celebration of Life will be held at St. Mark’s United Church, 1 Lynndale Dr., Dundas, on Friday June 5, at 11:00 am. A special thank you to Dr. Jim Williams, and the staff at the Georgian. In lieu of flowers, a donation to St. Mark’s or Hamilton Health Sciences would be appreciated.

Dear Debbie, Tony and Hudson, We are so sorry for your loss. You have our deepest sympathy, and are in our thoughts and prayers. Take care.
My heart breaks for your pain in the physical loss of your wonderful loving Mother. June was so friendly and talked about so many things when ever she answering the phone at Deb’s when I called. Her smile and just such joy of life came right thru the phone. A true Angel on earth has reunited with her great love, Chris. My fondest memory was June and Chris dancing at Tony and Debbie’s wedding. With a mentor like June for a Mom and Chris as their Dad, blessed are Brian, Debbie and Kim. Tony, my brother was lucky to join into such a wonderful family. June is in heaven as a blessed Angel of God. May June with Chris rest in peace. With Deepest Sympathy. Love Terry
