Creen, Velma Bernice (nee Shortridge) – October 30, 1928 – October 17, 2014. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Velma in her 86th year. Beloved wife of the late Kenneth. She will be sadly missed by her children Diane (Jim), Wally (Susan), Nancy (Charles), Patrick (Lynda). Most cherished grandmother of Paul, Krista, Kenny, Brent (Shawna), Bryan (Noelle), Terry and Tyler. Also beloved great grandmother of Deacon, Madden and Madelyn. She is also survived by her brother Gordon (Deanna), sister Karen (Ted) and brother Ken (Janet). She was also an aunt and great aunt to many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her mother, father, 6 sisters and 1 brother. Cremation has taken place. Family and friends are invited to call at Cattel, Eaton & Chambers Funeral Home, 53 Main St., Dundas on Wednesday, October 22nd from 2-4 & 7-9. A funeral service will be held at Cattel, Eaton & Chambers Funeral Home on Thursday, October 23rd at 2 p.m., followed by interment at Grove Cemetery. Reception to follow at The Cattel Centre. The family would like to give many thanks to the staff at Juravinski Hospital, Ward C 3rd floor Oncology for all the wonderful care that was given to Mom. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the charity of your choice.
