August 17, 1948 – October 2, 2014
Pring, William Charles “Billy” – On October 2nd, after a short bout with cancer, Billy lost his fight. He leaves behind his wife Donna of 22 years. Billy drove taxi for over 30 years, most recently for Hamilton Taxi (169). His love of the Montreal Canadiens and driving cab was rivalled only by his love for his family, 7 children, 8 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter. Friends will be received by the family on Tuesday afternoon and evening from 2-4 and 7-9 at the Cattel, Eaton & Chambers Funeral Home, 53 Main Street, Dundas where Billy’s Service will be held on Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to Mission Services would be appreciated.
So sorry to hear of the loss of Billy. He was one of my favourite cabbies, he always made me smile. My heart goes out to his family and friends. There’s no doubt he will be missed xo

Donna and Family Billy was always kind and was there for me and my family. I also worked with him driving cab.
I think back and I have known him 21 years and his friend ship has been the best we love you and will miss you.
My sympathy to you and your family. I am Billy’s cousin, his mom Elinor was my mom Joyce’s sister. I am so sad to hear that Billy has passed away. My mother passed away in February so I recently thought of reconnecting with him. I looked on Google several times and found nothing. Just last night I went on Google again and found his obituary notice. I remember Billy as being a very nice and friendly cousin to me even though he was 2 years older. After reading the other messages here on this page, I can see that he will be greatly missed.

I am so thankful to have had billy in our life’s. The love he had for our mother and the joy and love he gave to us and our children (his grandchildren) will be missed but never be forgotten
Really going to miss you, my friend. Have a safe journey across the bridge.
I will miss Billy. I used to work with him many years ago, kept in touch over the years whenever we’d run into each other around town.
You will be missed, Billy… you had such a kind heart.
Hello,
I was Bill’s son and I hadn’t seen him for a long time. I was sorry to hear that he’d passed away and I wish we could have had a chance to talk before he died. I hope he’s found peace.
My heartfelt condolences to Donna and all members of his family and his friends. His jovial nature will be remembered! A good man. He will be missed.
