Sanders, Rachel Bernice (nee Almas) – With saddened hearts we announce the passing of our dear mother Bernice on Friday, May 16, 2014 at the Hamilton General Hospital in her 93rd year. Predeceased by her husband George (1997). Dearly loved by her son Brad (Dominique) and daughter Kim Sanders-Gonzalez (Juan Gonzalez): grandchildren Chad Sanders (Alexandra Feswick), Danielle (Mike Dunlop), Justin Hayes, Dylan Hayes, and Chase Hayes; and many loving nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her sister Marie. Bernice was a family oriented woman. In her earlier years she enjoyed horseback riding with her husband and built a life in the family home that she and her husband built on Rock Chapel Road. A special thank you for the wonderful care from the staff at Blackadar Retirement Home and to the staff at the Hamilton General Hospital. Friends will be received by the family on Tuesday afternoon and evening from 2-4 and 7-9 at the Cattel, Eaton & Chambers Funeral Home, 53 Main Street, Dundas where Bernice’s Service will take place on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. Interment Hamilton Cemetery.
