Kavanagh, Dakota Luke
– Suddenly in Toronto on Saturday, November 9, 2013, at age 26. Beloved
son of Susan Cauchy and the late Michael Kavanagh and loving brother of Wade.
Grandson to Jocelyn Kavanagh and Elize Hartley. Dakota will be sadly missed by
his “second” mother Dawn Rivard (Ted), his aunts, uncles, cousins and
many friends. Friends will be received by the family on Thursday evening from
7-9 and Friday afternoon from 12 until Dakota’s Service at 2 o’clock at the
Cattel, Eaton & Chambers Funeral Home, 53 Main Street, Dundas. Interment
Woodland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Nature Conservancy of
Canada would be appreciated.
My deepest condolences to Dakota’s family and close friends. May other’s strengths eek into your soul during this very difficult time.

I’d always run into Dakota while I was Barbacking at music venues. He’d be checking out the current act coming through town with his friends, and we’d find time to chat when I wasn’t too busy or their was a lull in the show. I don’t recall how we struck up our casual friendship, but I do remember how Dakota always greeted me with a big genuine smile, and an assuring handshake. I consider meeting someome with those qualities in a such a big city to be a blessing. I can say that Dakota spoke the truth, and I saw that he carried himself with humility. I’m happy to know that these traits will be passed on by the people who had the pleasure of knowing Dakota, because they will surely be passed on by me.
We miss you D. Love to the family and friends and everyone who his amazing spirit may have touched.
