It is with deep sadness that his family announce Jon’s passing as the result of an accident in Alberta on Friday, August 16, 2013. Jon was the beloved son of Stella and Alan, much loved brother of Rachel (Adam), Michael, Kevin and Tim (Rosanna). Jon will also be sadly missed by his Grandad Bill, his nieces Melissa and Alana, and his family in England. Predeceased by his father Peter Murphy. Jon will be loved and remembered for his great sense of humour and many acts of kindness. Friends will be received by his family, on Monday evening from 7-9 p.m. at the Cattel, Eaton & Chambers Funeral Home, 53 Main Street, Dundas, where a Celebration of Jon’s Life will be held on Tuesday at 2 p.m. Cremation has already taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Toronto Hospital for Sick Children would be appreciated by the family.
My deepest condolences to Jon’s family & friends
With no words grand enough to describe Jon being a truely wonderful & kindhearted person this poem is what my pen put on paper for him ..
May the sun rise with the warmth of your heart – May the blue skies shine with the sound of your laughter – May the sun set with your soul resting in peace – And with every star twinkling in the night sky let the world know how much you are missed
For Always You Will Be Loved & Forever You Will Be Remembered

Stella, Alan, Rachel & family … our deepest condolences … Dean & Marilyn
Jon, if only you could read the comments people are leaving for you on your “In Memory of Jon Murphy” page, your smile would be even larger if that were possible. It has been a pleasure knowing you and you made my day getting to know you a little better when we went to Port Dover and out for dinner last summer.
You will be missed but cherished.
