Peacefully on Wednesday July 3, 2013 at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Predeceased by her husband of 42 years Dennis in 2009. Adoring mother of David Michael and Debra Lyn. Loving sister to her brother Charles Montgomery and aunt to his boys Jim and Wes. Dee was a former teacher who loved her job. She was born in Brantford to the late Daniel J. and Isabel Montgomery. As per Dee’s wishes, there will be no service. Cremation has taken place. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

So sorry to hear of Deanna’s death. We were friends from an early age. I was maid of honour at Dennis and Deanna’s wedding so many years ago. Unfortunately we lost contact in the last few years. Please accept my sincerest sympathy.
sorry to hear about your moms passing. We were your next door neighbours at Clarindon Dr. We used to call David (truck). I was able to visit your mom just after you dad passed and caught up with news. Sorry for you both. Sincere sympathy.
I am so sorry to read that Deanna has passed away. We grew up together on Baldwin Avenue in Brantford and went through public and high school together. We spent many hours together during these years. Unfortunately we lost contact over the last several years and I had no idea that she was ill. My thoughts are with you at this time.

I was heartbroken to learn of Dee’s passing. I met Dee through a crafting store in Dundas, and we became friends largely due to our passion for making cards. She was a stellar individual, I am glad that she chose to include me in her life. I spent time with Dee mostly via E-Mail and the telephone. She spoke proudly of David and Debra, her two children and she shared many memories of her husband Dennis, who unfortunately I never got the chance to meet. She was a superb artist, who also loved to work in her garden and had a passion for NASCAR racing. Wow. I learned a lot from her about paper crafting and card making. I just can’t believe that she’s gone. I will always remember her fondly, she was such an energetic and larger than life personality and always with a twinkle in her eye. I will miss her and so will all her crafting buddies.
Such a terrible shock! Dee was a very talented artist and I treasured any and all of her art projects that came my way. She will be greatly missed by me and by our mutual cardmaking groups. Sincerely, Diane Arthurs
To Dee’s family I am so sorry to hear of this news. I adored her artistic abilities & her love of family, and passion for race cars. I was honored to spend an afternoon with her shopping for our crafting supplies a few years back. I shall always hold a Special place in my heart for her. She was busy trying to keep us active in swaps on our Ontario Card Group.

I was so surprised and saddened to hear of Dee’s passing. She was such a sweetheart and so very talented. Met up with Dee for coffee at Timmy’s a long time ago and never forgot her enthusiasm for creating wonderful artwork.
My deepest condolences go out to her family, wherever they are. The card-making, stamping world will certainly miss her.
