Aubert, Anita (nee Pettifer) – Peacefully at home with family by her side, Anita passed away on Monday, April 13, 2015 in her 84th year. Predeceased by her husband Ken (1981). Dearly loved by her children Jennifer Hamilton (Ken Cook), Brian (Susan), Carey (Karen) and Reg (Deb); her brother Gerald Pettifer (Jocelyn) and sister Frances Taylor and her grandchildren Melisa, Steven, Brittany (Tim), Christy, Brandon, Ryan, Jason, Nathan and Ashley and her great-granddaughter Zoey. She will be missed very much by her two best canine friends, Jack and Jill. Anita was a very down to earth, simple kind of woman who loved her family, loved to bake and was a hard worker. Special thanks are extended to the VON and to Leslie Ciccoria. Friends will be received by the family on Wednesday evening from 7-9 p.m. at the Cattel, Eaton & Chambers Funeral Home, 53 Main Street, Dundas, where Anita’s Celebration of Life will take place on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. Interment Grove Cemetery. Flowers gratefully declined. If you so wish, donations to the Stedman Community Hospice would be very much appreciated by the family.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Mother shortly after her 90th birthday with her loving family at her side at Hamilton General Hospital on Saturday April 11th, 2015. Sadly missed by her children Glenda Mc Donald (Len Martel) Mary Rumley (Grant) Irene Boyle (Robert Totten) and two of her step children Phyllis Mc Donald and William J. Mc Donald Jr. Will also be missed by many of her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Hebert of Killarney, Ontario. Predeceased by her late husband William (Bill) J, Mc Donald, son Joey Mc Donald, two grandsons Wesley Lahaie and Nicholas Boyle, sisters Flora, Ella, Robina, and brothers Raymond, Bert, Urban and Elwood. A special thank you to the Hamilton General Hospital Acute Stroke Unit, CCAC, Paramed Home Healthcare, VON Respite Care. Visitation will take place at the Cattel, Eaton & Chambers Funeral Home, 53 Main Street Dundas, on Tuesday April 14 from 2-4 & 7–9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at ST. AUGUSTINE’S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 58 Sydenham Street in Dundas, Ontario. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers donations to St. Augustine’s Catholic Church (Dundas), Good Shepherd, Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.

Newell, Barbara Margaret (nee Hunt) – peacefully after a short illness at St. Joseph’s Hospital, on Monday, April 6, 2015, Barbara passed away in her 84th year. Leaving behind her loving husband Bernie of 65 years. Dear mother of Janet (Stephen Jewell). Sister to John, predeceased by sisters Irene and Elsie. Also remembered by family and many friends in England. Barbara enjoyed travelling and working at Minuteman Press for over 20 years. Volunteer knitting for the less fortunate was her passion. Special thanks to St. Joseph’s Villa, also to the Doctors and nurses at St. Joseph’s Hospital and the General. In keeping with Barbara’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral. If you so wish, donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.

March 10, 1941 – March 22, 2015 It is with sadness we announce Gladys’ passing on Sunday, March 22, 2015. Beloved daughter of Florence and Jack Chapman (predeceased). She will be dearly remembered by her brother Harry and his wife Anne; nieces and nephews Cameron Chapman (Charlene), Coby Wice (David) and Carley Lafosse (Bruno) and great nieces and nephews Rhaya, Julia (Alessandro), Lindsay, Riven, Zander and another on the way. Gladys was a dedicated and devoted employee at Stelco and then the Hamilton Police Association from where she retired. Cremation has taken place. A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, April 22nd at 11:00 a.m. at MT. HAMILTON CEMETERY. If you so wish, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or Multiple Myeloma would be appreciated by the family.

Heaslip, June Marie (nee Goodfellow) – It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of June on Monday, March 23rd 2015 at The Hardy Terrace Assisted Living facility in Mt. Pleasant. Pre-deceased by her husband Fred, she is survived by her siblings, Eve Worrall, Margaret (Bruce) Gray, and John (Janice) Goodfellow. She leaves behind sons Richard (Debbie), David (Carri), Ronald (Sandy) and Paul (Darlene), along with many Grand and Great Grand children. June was a cherished, active member of the Dundas Community. From volunteering at The Dundas Museum and Meals on Wheels, to producing films (some in the Dundas Library) and developing recreational programs at the community center, she assisted wherever she was needed. Friends will be received by the family on Thursday afternoon and evening from 2-4 & 7-9 at the Cattel, Eaton and Chambers Funeral Home, 53 Main Street, Dundas where the Service for June will be held Friday morning at 11 o’clock. Interment Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations will be accepted to The Hardy Terrace Assisted Living Facility or a charity of your choice.
