Fama, Kevin John

July 3, 1968 – February 1, 2017

It is with deep sorrow and regret that we announce the sudden passing of our dearly loved son and brother, Kevin John, in his 49th year. Late Wednesday evening, February 1st, in Montreal, Kevin left us doing what he loved to do most: playing hockey with his buddies. Kevin had spent the past few years living and working out of Montreal for Praxair. He will be sadly missed by all of those many lives he touched throughout his own life. Kevin is the third son of Frank and Joan (nee Robinson), of Dundas. Beloved brother and best friend to Mark (Linda), Michael (Amy), and Brett. “Unky” Kev will be sadly missed and forever cherished by niece “baby” Alexa and nephew Jake “the snake”, as Kevin affectionately called them. Kevin enjoyed a rich, family oriented life and will be deeply missed by his dozens of aunts, uncles, and cousins on both the Robinson and Fama sides of the family. Thank you to the countless groups of friends that Kevin was proud to be included in at one time or another in his life. His extended Praxair work family in Paris and Montreal, and throughout North America, will miss his enthusiasm, smile, big blue eyes and energy. Special thanks to Frankie Jones, Rob McNeil, and Mark Splinter who always treated Kevin as one of their own families.       Kevin had a contagious smile, dry wit, and blunt honesty which everyone knew and loved so well. There was nothing Kevin wouldn’t do to let you know just how much your friendship meant to him. He truly was one of a kind. To all the St. Mary’s friends, the Chesley Lake cottage gang, the Friday night and Sunday morning Dundas Old-timer hockey boys, past and present, and the old crew from A&P Store #102 Dundas; thanks for your support. To all of the Dundas boys, especially Donnie Higgins and Mike Kehoe, the family thanks you for your condolences and know that you were an integral part of Kevin’s wonderful life. Visitation to take place at Turner Family Funeral Home, 53 Main St. Dundas on Monday, February 6th from 2–4 pm, and 7–9 pm. Funeral service will be held at St. Augustine’s Roman Catholic Church, 58 Sydenham Street, Dundas on Tuesday, February 7th at 11:30 am. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada are welcomed by Kevin’s family.

Loving husband of Audrey and beloved father of David (Debbie), Michael (Linda) and Jennifer (Noel).  Grandfather of Allison, Emily, Amanda and Robert.  He was very proud of them and loved them dearly.  Predeceased by his parents Teresa and Joseph Jadeski and sister Connie and her husband Murray Stockie.  He will be missed by his sister Patricia (Henry), brothers Carl (Margaret) and Edward and many nieces and nephews.  Bob retired from Stelco 20 years ago, after 40 years of service and had many years to devote to his woodworking, golf and helping his friends and neighbours.
