Together at last. After a separation of nearly seventeen years, Ann Marie Lamey, aged 95, left peacefully to join her husband, John Henry Lamey. Ann leaves behind and will be sadly missed by daughter Deborah Sweet (David) of Mahone Bay, Nova Scotia, granddaughters Lauren Sweet-Lawrence (Jeremy) of Morinville, Alberta, Robyn Sweet of Mahone Bay, and great-grandchildren Hannah, Sara and Joshua. She is also survived by sisters-in-law Shirley Woolley of London, Ontario, Winnifred Tate of Waterdown, Ontario, brother-in-law Bernard Teague of Milton, Ontario and many nieces and nephews. Ann was predeceased by her husband John (Jack), parents John and Elsie Woolley, brother Ernest Woolley, and sister Eileen Teague. Born in Hamilton, Ontario and raised in nearby Dundas, Ann took a keen interest in sports, particularly basketball, and loved dancing. Trained as a stenographer, she worked for John Bertram & Sons Co., then with her brother Ernie for the Royal Bank in Dundas. Her marriage to Jack in 1948 took her to Beamsville, Ontario, where they made many lifelong friends. Jack worked for Ontario Hydro, and in later years Ann worked as a bookkeeper for Albright Manor and Dandies Department Store until Jack’s retirement. They enjoyed trips to Myrtle Beach and Florida before starting a new chapter in Peterborough, Ontario, boating and fishing to their hearts’ content. A decision to return to Dundas brought them full circle. They became active members of the Dundas Seniors’ Centre and enjoyed many bus and train trips with the group, crisscrossing Canada, the United States and Mexico in their travels. A highlight was their personal trip to England and Scotland, visiting distant family. Five years after Jack’s passing, Ann’s last move brought her to Nova Scotia to be closer to her daughter and family. Many thanks to the kind and caring staff of Bridgewater’s Ryan Hall nursing home who made her final days so calm and comfortable. Initial arrangements have been carried out by Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia. A Visitation will take place at Turner Family Funeral Home, 53 Main Street, Dundas, Ontario, on Sunday, February 11th from 2:00-4:00 p.m. The service will take place on Monday, February 12th at 1:00p.m. in the chapel with interment at Grove Cemetery in Dundas. A reception will follow in the Cattel Centre next to Turner Family Funeral Home. Expressions of sympathy in Ann’s name to a charitable organization of your choice would be appreciated by her family.

Heyerichs, Hannelise – in Dundas on February 1, 2018 in her 90th year. Hanne Heyerichs was a resident of Grand Vista Gardens for over six decades and long-time owner of Elderslie Apiaries, Paisley. Beloved wife of the late William Heyerichs, whom she met in Kindergarten. Hanne loved spending time in her colourful garden, and always enjoyed the company of her family, many friends and visitors. Dearly missed by her children Ann (Damien), Joan (Mark) and Karl (Wanda). Loving grandmother of Jamie, Mike and Nick Rose and William Heyerichs. Sincere thanks to all those who went above and beyond to ensure that our mother was comfortable and had everything she needed: the caring staff at Amica, especially Sharon and Marlise, the staff of St. Elizabeth’s, especially Wendy, Kelly and Tracey, and the nurses from Bayshore. Cremation has taken place. Interment at Mt. Zion Cemetery, Flamborough, with immediate family only. For those who wish, in lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.

Hicks, Lloyd Bruce – On Monday, January 29th, 2018, in his 88th year. Predeceased by his loving wife Mary “Geneva” (1991) and brother Orville (2009). Sadly missed by his son Gregory Bruce Hicks and wife Lynne, brother Harvey and wife Ann. Lloyd was the last Studebaker Twin and a 50 year member of the I.B.E.W Local 105 Hamilton. Thanks to the 2nd Floor staff at Grace Villa. Friends will be received by the family on Friday afternoon from 3 -7 at the Turner Family Funeral Home, 53 Main Street, Dundas. Cremation to follow. Inglis, Grace (nee Jackman) – Passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones on January 26th, 2018 at the age of 100. Thanks to St. Joseph’s Villa for the excellent care these past 4 years. Beloved wife of the late Earl. Loving mother of Dorothea McLean, Earl, and Katie Fanning (John). Predeceased by daughter Suzanne Catt (Harold) and son Douglas. Dear sister of Robert (Linda). Predeceased by sisters Mary, Doris Alcock, Treasure Gibb and brothers Douglas, Donald and William. Lovingly remembered by 12 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was an active member of Dundas Baptist Church for over 50 years where she served as deacon and enjoyed many years assisting with Helping Hands. She had an eclectic work history which included owning and operating the Clothes Closet consignment shop in Dundas, during the 80’s, also she was with the Guelph Mercury Newspaper and coordinated demonstrators for Mattel toys. A celebration of a life well lived will take place at DUNDAS BAPTIST CHURCH, 201 Governors Road, Dundas on Saturday, February 3rd at 2:00 p.m., with visitation at the church at 1:00. DesRoches, William Edmond “Billy” – Suddenly at his home on Saturday, January 20, 2018, in his 56th year. Beloved son of the late Omer and Marie DesRoches, and brother to Ed (Deb). Billy will be sadly missed by his uncle Ted and aunt Donna Zess and his cousin Kim Idoine (Simon) and their boys Lucas and Josh. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Billy’s Life will be held at a later date.
