Snively, Lorna Mae – At the Hamilton General Hospital on Friday, March 2, 2018, in her 94th year. Beloved wife of the late Bill, and loving mother to Ken (Barb) and Lynda Sandilands (Rick). Predeceased by her daughter Carolanne Green. Cherished grandmother of Laura (Bruce), Michelle (Ed), Ryan (Sarah) and Heather, and GG Ma to Frankie, Andrew, Alex and Sophie. Lorna was happy to live independently on her own terms. Friends will be received by the family on Tuesday morning from 11 until the time of Lorna’s Service at 12 noon at the Turner Family Funeral Home, 53 Main Street, Dundas. Followed by a reception next door at the Cattel Family Centre. Cremation has taken place. Expressions of sympathy to St. Mark’s United Church would be appreciated by the family.

Poirier, Olive Mary Jane (nee Smith)

April 20, 1927 – March 2, 2018

Poirier, Olive Mary Jane (nee Smith) – Passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Villa on Friday, March 2, 2018, in her 91st year. Born in Proton Township, ON to Herbert and Sadie (nee Cutting) Smith. Beloved wife of the late Real Jean “Roy” in 2011. Dear mother of Marcel (Margie), Janet (Ed) Rattray and Dave (Linda). Loving grandmother of Amy (Mike), Diane (Lindsay), Michele (Adam), Jennifer (Jon), Jacqueline, Nicole, Eddy Rattray, Danielle, Mae, Jesselyn Rattray and Mary. Great Grandma of Dustin, Ayla, Rylee, Robbie and Jackson. Sister of Mae Slack, Ray (Marie), Bruce, Christina (Alex) Patterson and the late Archie. Aunt to many nieces and nephews. She was a 15 year employee of Tuckett’s Tobacco before staying at home to raise her family. Her love was her garden and her TOPS club outings. Many thanks to all the staff and caregivers at St. Joseph’s Villa for their friendship and care over the last 18 years. Friends will be received by the family on Sunday afternoon and evening from 2-4 & 6-8 at the Turner Family Funeral Home, 53 Main Street, Dundas, where the Service for Olive will be held Monday morning at 11 o’clock. Interment White Chapel Cemetery, followed by a reception and fellowship at the Cattel Family Centre, next door to the Funeral Home. Dallman, Audrey Elinor “Holly” (nee Walsh)

October 28, 1926 – February 26, 2018

Dallman, Audrey, called “Holly” by family and friends, passed away Feb 26, 2018 at 10:45 pm. She is fondly remembered and missed by her husband (Bill Dallman), her children Carolyn, Joanne, Garth and daughter-in-law Marlene, her grandchildren Donovan and wife Shannon, Brendan, Caleb, Tyler and Nevin, and great grandchildren Devin, Hayden and Logan.  She was a dedicated member of St. James Anglican Church in Dundas acting as a former warden, stalwart choir member and treasurer for St. James Anglican Church in Dundas. She worked as a law clerk and bookkeeper for Van Der Woerd and Faber for many years. And in her retirement spent several years at Revenue Canada at income tax time.  Friends will be received by the family at ST. JAMES ANGLICAN CHURCH, 137 Melville Street, Dundas, on Friday, March 2, 2018 from 1:00 until the time of Holly’s  Memorial Service at 2 p.m. Everyone welcome.  Thanks to all friends and family members who have provided support during this difficult time. Hunter, Alexander

August 18, 1919 – February 21, 2018

Hunter, Alexander  – It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a wonderful man and loving father in his 98th year on Wednesday, February 21, 2018. Born in Clydebank, Scotland August 18, 1919, he is reunited with his adored wife and soulmate Marie (nee Hackwell). Predeceased by his parents Alexander and Catherine, sister Margaret, and brothers in law Alex, Lee and Tom. He will be deeply and forever missed by his daughter Carol (Ralph), son Jay, grandchildren Angela, John, Ashton, Keaton and great grandson Chase Alexander Benedetti, his sisters Grace and Jenny and many nieces nephews and cousins. A Flight Lieutenant in WWII with the 447 squadron, he piloted a Spitfire over Juno Beach on D-Day. Knighted by France with the Knights Order of the Legion of Honor medal. Electrical Engineering graduate (U of T), employee of Canadian General Electric and a very talented artist.  Sincere thanks for the years of care received at the General, St. Joseph’s , Juravinski and McMaster Hospitals and the compassion of staff at Wentworth Lodge. A celebration of life will be held at St. Paul’s United Church in Dundas on April 15th at 1 PM. Donations to the Air Force Club in Dundas would be appreciated.

Gumbert, Wilma Marguerite (nee Ferguson)

On February 17, 2018, surrounded by her loving family, Wilma Gumbert peacefully joined her lord and savior for all eternity. Wilma Marguerite Gumbert (nee Ferguson), predeceased by her first husband Flory Pacific and her late husband Charles Gumbert passed in her 84th year.  Dearly loved and missed by her three sons George Ferguson (Janice), Donald Ferguson (Cathy), Percy Pacific (Susan) and her five grand-children and five great grand-children. The family wish to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff at Wentworth Lodge for their dedication to Wilma over the past number of years. Friends and family to be received for visitation at Turner Family Funeral Home Ltd., 53 Main Street Dundas, Ontario, on Wednesday February 21st from 7:00 – 9:00 pm. A celebration of Wilma’s life is to be held on Thursday February 22nd at 11:00 am with internment to follow at Grove Cemetery in Dundas.
