Tatone, Barbara “Barb” (Norris)

Barb Tatone
October 9th, 1949 – August 13th, 2024

With deep sadness we announce the passing of Barbara Jean Tatone (Norris) on Tuesday, August 13th, 2024. She left us peacefully with her husband Ozzie by her side. Barb was a nurse, mother, grandmother, quilter extraordinaire, award-winning gardener, and one-time business woman.
Barb was predeceased by her parents Dr. Lance and Agnes Norris. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, children Jennifer (Patrick), Lance (Cameron), Stephen, Elise (Fred); grand children Bridget, Steve, Robbie and Mike and by her brother Ron (Joan). Barb also enjoyed the laughter and camaraderie of her in-laws and many nieces and nephews. She loved family so much and enjoyed every minute with the Tatone clan from when she was first brought home by Oz. She will be missed terribly by all.
Barb will be cremated according to her wishes. A celebration of life will be held at a future date. The family would like to thank all the many professionals (and there are dozens) involved in Barb’s care over the past few years. It’s been a long haul, but you made it good until the very end.
In lieu of flowers, you may make a donation to Juravinski Cancer Centre Foundation, the St. Joseph’s Hospital Foundation, or a foundation of your choice.

Cheeseman, Diane (Savage)

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mother and grandmother, Diane Cheeseman.  She passed away on August 2nd, 2024, surrounded by the love and comfort of all of her children.

Diane will be forever in the hearts of her children, Debbie, Barbara (Gerhard), Paul (Kim), Lisa (Luke), and Christa (Michael).  She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Brad, Alexxa, Jeff, Lauren, Kirstin, Natasha, Miranda, Jaimie, Connor, Christopher, Makayla, Nicholas and their respective families. She will be missed dearly by her faithful, lifelong friend Ruth McAlpine and her husband David.

Diane was predeceased by her husband Paul (October 1996) and by Hugh, her partner of 22 years (June 2024).

Diane enjoyed and excelled at her job on the Information Desk at McMaster Hospital for many years before retiring.  She got to know and care for many patients and their families and was often the first and the last smiling, friendly face they saw coming and going.

Our Mom loved her family dearly, always there to support and help in any way she could, and was so loved in return.  She loved her garden, watching the Blue Jays, and the family cottage, for which we are forever grateful for the many years of great memories made there together. In her senior years she had a love for travel, enjoying many cruises, trips to Florida, the U.K., and to Eastern Canada, with Hugh and sometimes with her family.

Visitation to be held at Turner Family Funeral Home, 53 Main Street, Dundas, Wednesday, August 7th from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. followed by a private family funeral.

If desired, memorial donations to Diabetes Canada or The Kidney Foundation of Canada would be greatly appreciated by the family.

We will miss her everyday, forever and always.
