June 9, 1927 – September 22, 2025

Francis (Frans) is now resting in God’s loving hands. He died at 98 after a full and vibrant life enjoying nature, travel and every special occasion along with family and friends. Born in The Netherlands and immigrated with his family to Hamilton in 1963. He Retired from McMaster Mechanical Engineering Department over 30 years ago.

Francis was the loving husband for 61 years of his late wife Annemarie, and also a devoted father to his 2 children, John (Mary), and Francien (Michael). Loving Opa to his grandchildren Michael (Melissa), Derek, Justina (Michael), August and Geoffrey, and great grandchildren Nathaniel, Emilia and Christopher. Francis was also a loving brother to Lia and Loes (predeceased).

A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday September 30^th, 2025 at St. Augustine’s Parish, 58 Sydenham St, Dundas, at 11:00 a.m. Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Good Shepherd Centre.
