Almas, Jeffrey “Jeff”
October 6, 1960 – July 10, 2023
Your kindness and humour will remain in our hearts forever. Jeff died peacefully at home, July 10, 2023 in his 63rd year. Cherished by his Mom Patricia and Father Bob (deceased). Loving brother of Robert (Nalini), Michael and Kathryn. Uncle Jeff will be missed by his nephews and nieces: Asha, Michael, Shaina, Carly and Beyaz. Jeff will be remembered as a talented athlete, drummer, music lover, a force of boundless energy and bright personality. At his home on Bold Street, he was described as a positive life force who will be greatly missed by his fellow residents and the two ‘Kims.’ Friends will be received by the family on Tuesday, July 18th at 2 p.m. at the Turner Family Funeral Home, 53 Main St., Dundas, ON followed by a celebration of Jeff’s life at 3 p.m. A graveside service will take place at 10:00 a.m. at the White Chapel Cemetery, 1875, Main St. West, Hamilton, ON. on the same day. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Hamilton Vincent De Paul are appreciated by the family.
Such a loss is hard to take. I am reminded by his description of the words in a Neil Diamond song ” He ain’t heavy, he’s my brother”.
Rest in peace, Jeff. You were a good guy.
I love my cousin Jeff.
He was such a talented drummer and had so much humor and playfulness as he lived day to day.
I remember him as someone who was a very special and kind, who loved to laugh and play the drums.
God Bless You Jeff!
You are very special soul and will be missed by many.
Jeff and I were inseparable when we got together as kids. I will always cherish the memories of the good times we had together. Jeff was always very brave and liked challenges. I remember the visits on Highview Drive riding in the Frazer’s dune buggy in the orchards with the DeJong sisters. Jeff always had a lot of friends and was very popular, until his disease robbed him of his potential. Bravely, he led on and found happiness.
I went to Fairview Public School with Jeff. And yes he was a great athlete. I remember he was a great cross country runner. As well as musically gifted. He was a nice guy. My condolences to his family. May he rest in peace.
Although I was 7 when Jeff was born we were neighbours in Hamilton and I have fond memories of the Almas family – mostly chumming with Bob and Mike. I’m just now reading of Jeff’s passing and pass along my condolences.
