He also leaves behind his two children Dianne Wojtasik (Jerry), Ross Thompson (Sharon), as well as six grandsons Rob Wojtasik (Laura), Adam Wojtasik (Vira), Derek Wojtasik (Caroline), Morgan Wojtasik, Devon Thompson, Collin Thompson, and seven great grandchildren. He also leaves behind Betty’s two children Bev (Brian) and Mike (Janice) and their children who fondly referred to him as Captain Jack. A Celebration of Life for Jack will be held at the Lynden Legion (206 Lynden Road, Lynden, ON) on Sunday, October 30, 2022 from 2 – 6 pm, with Sharing of Memories starting at 3 p.m. Cremation has taken place and a private family internment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the St. George United Church, or a charity of your choice would be appreciated. Many thanks to the hospital staff at Brantford General Hospital, as well as the staff at Turner Family Funeral Home.

Jack was one of the good ones. He was a wonderful, careful Custodian at Highland, and also kept an eye out for the students. He knew more of what people were up to than about anyone else in the building, I think.
Kind, caring, like a favourite uncle in my days there in the first half of the 1980s, and I can say honestly that he made a difference in my life then and there, and since. He taught by showing how to be kind, he taught by opening our eyes to others, and he taught just by his gentle, strong, hard-working demeanor. A “Golden Rule” kind of man. Thank you, Jack.
Dad ,you will always hold a special place in my heart. I had a wonderful childhood and that is a big thanks to you. I will miss our projects and trips in the truck.
You are at peace now and smiling down on all of us.
From your loving son Ross and daughter in law Sharon
