February 23, 1928 – June 10, 2022
Bob passed away peacefully on June 10, 2022, in Dundas, Ontario with his family by his side. Beloved husband of Lorraine (nee Clark) for 67 years. Loving father of Rob (Sheila) and Marcia (Jeff). Dearly loved grandfather of Allison (Matt), Thomas (Hannah), Heather and Jesse (Dee). We will all miss him dearly.
Bob was born in Toronto and grew up in the Beaches. He moved to Sarnia in 1958 with Lorraine to raise a family and enjoy a successful career with Dow Chemical. He and Lorraine spent their retirement years in Ottawa, enjoying adventures big and small, before moving to Dundas last Fall.
Bob had a great sense of humour and a generous heart. He was a good man who was liked by everyone who knew him. Bob was also a faithful supporter of the Toronto Blue Jays & Toronto Maple Leafs, in good times and bad. He hopes they will be able to manage without him.
Bob’s family wishes to thank the health care providers at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton, Home & Community Care Support Services, and Amica Dundas for the compassionate care they provided our wonderful husband, father and grandfather in the final weeks of his life.
In keeping with Bob’s wishes, there will be no services.
Our thoughts are with all of you at this difficult time! We remember many a happy time when we would go down to Sarnia and visit with all of you and sit in the sun room we loved all together! Bob was ALWAYS very happy, kind and soft spoken and always made you feel comfortable and welcome. Hope all the wonderful memories you have of him will help to always bring a smile to your face of this wonderful man!
Love Carol, Stan, Sandra, Reg & Family

Your dad’s smile never diminished and was characteristic of him……….. a wonderful man .
The world is short of people like him.

Lorraine and family: I am so sorry to hear of Bob’s passing. It has been years since I have seen you two beautiful people, but Zaida Rankin kept me updated over the years, as she missed you both a lot. Unfortunately, we lost Zaida this year also. You were both hard workers in the community and in the church. My mother, Florence Henderson, was very fond of you. You were so good to her, and I thank you for bringing her joy when you visited her.
Bob was a special person. I know he will be missed in many places, by many people.
