July 6, 1929 – August 5, 2017
Adele slipped into a forever sleep on Aug. 5 to join her husband Alec, son Tom, daughter Linda, parents Susan & Harry, brother Bob, grandson David as well as many other beautiful souls (4 legged ones included). She will be greatly missed by her family, daughter Virginia (Larry); sister Margaret; dearest friend Marie, son-in-law Dennis; daughter-in-law Ellen; grandchildren Amelia (Ryan), Therese, Chris (Chrystal), Simon (Allie), Eric (Megan), Alex, Melanie & Josh; great grand-children, Isabelle, Callie, Brynn and Nate; & her loyal dog Chum. Also, many nieces, nephews, friends (many who loved her as Gramadele and lots whom we consider family) and a community that loved, supported and respected her through her life. Adele spent her life giving, supporting, mentoring and loving all those around her. She was very involved in her church and received The Order of Niagara in 2007. She did years of volunteering at St. Matthews house, taught 4-H, did Scottish country dancing, sang in various choirs and walked & swam probably thousands of miles. She was a constant and very present force in her family’s lives whether near or far. She will be so missed but has joined all those loved ones from her life that departed much too soon. Friends and family are invited to Turner Family Funeral Home , 53 Main Street, Dundas, on Tuesday August 15 from 6-9 p.m. A memorial service will be held at Christ Church Anglican, Flamborough, on Wednesday August 16 at 1:30p.m. If desired, donations to Christ Church Anglican, Flamborough, or St. Matthew’s House Hamilton would be greatly appreciated.
