It is with deep love and sadness that we announce the passing of Treena Jarrett (née: Starrs), a devoted mother, grandmother, partner, sister, and friend, on June 10th, 2026. Born on October 8th, 1951 in Dundas, Treena was the sixth of eight children, and will be remembered for the strong family bonds she carried throughout her life and the love she extended so generously to those around her.
Treena is survived by her common-law husband of 30 years, John Pelletier. She was a proud and devoted mother to her two children, Kirk and Kelly. Her legacy lives on through her four cherished grandchildren: Kyle (Christine), Berea (Tyler), Silas, and Abi. She is survived by her brother Mike (Jean) Starrs.
Treena was predeceased by her beloved siblings: Joan (Gillis) Huot, Ted (Bernice) Starrs, Billy Starrs, George Starrs, Teresa (John) Arnold, and Bonnie (Dave) Sardella. She was deeply connected to her family and carried their memories with her always.
Treena dedicated much of her working life to serving others and building lasting relationships with her coworkers. She worked for many years at Eaton’s on the Hamilton Mountain until the store’s closure in 2002. She then continued her career at The Home Depot in Hamilton, where she worked from 2002 until her retirement in 2022. Treena took pride in her work, but even more so in the friendships and connections she formed over the years.
A celebration of Treena’s life will take place at The Hamilton Air Force Association, 128 King Street East, Dundas, on Sunday, June 14th, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
