It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Susan Traver (Groen) on Friday December 19, 2025 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Tom Traver, who passed away in October 2024. She is survived by her children Tyson (Brittani), Brittney (Trevor) and her grandchildren Bryson, Brady and Colton. Beloved daughter to the late Irene and Andy Groen, and cherished sister to John and Judy.  Sue was a loving aunt to many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her family, she will be deeply missed by her lifelong friends Wilma, Jaap, Sanne, Veerle, Jesse and Kai in Holland, whose friendship spanned decades and meant the world to her and Tom.

Throughout her life, she showed unwavering love and dedication to her family, friends and the community.  Sue worked for the Ancaster Senior Achievement Centre in Alberton for over 20 years. She dedicated a lot of her time volunteering in the kitchen for the Ancaster Agricultural Society at the Ancaster Fairgrounds.  Sue was a member of the Lynden Horticultural Society and was known for her beautiful flower gardens.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the Juravinski Cancer Centre as well as Margaret’s Place Hospice in Dundas where she spent her final moments in peace. Tyson and Brittney would also like to thank their cousin Amy for her unwavering support, love and care throughout their mom’s fight.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, December 30th from 1:00pm-4:00pm at Turner Family Funeral Home, 53 Main Street, in Dundas.
