Kelly Britz of Hamilton, Ontario passed away peacefully at home, in his sleep. Kelly was born and raised in Dundas, and was the youngest of five children. Kelly spent his formative years in Dundas attending grade school and high school in town before moving to Hamilton to open a business. He was a very skilled fisherman and took great pleasure in it over the years. Kelly was also a wizard with tools and made it his career for a short time in his life. Life wasn’t always easy but Kelly did it his own way and abided by his choices. Kelly had the best laugh in the world! So infectious and so original! Kelly was predeceased by his loving Mother and Father, Theresa and Clemens Britz; his sisters Florence, Darlene, his brother Ronald and sister-in-law Maureen (Moe) Britz. Kelly leaves behind his loving wife Lori Loucas. They were everything to each other and best friends throughout anything life sent their way. She will find comfort in their memories of happy times and will carry his love with her. Also, left to mourn their Father, are Kelly’s precious children Katelyn and Tyler. Kelly is survived by his big brother Del who will remember him always with love. He will also be sadly missed by a legion of nieces and nephews who will hold him in their hearts forever. Kelly wished to be cremated and there will be no service. If you wish, a donation may be made to Cancer Assistance Program, Hamilton or Margaret’s Place, Dundas.
“Say not in grief ‘he is no more’ but live in thankfulness that he was”
Hey Kelly, our time together as kids growing up are memories I oft thing about, reliving many many memories of the times we had. You introduced me to so much. Fishing at the hollow, watching you drive golfballs at the school yard (i just wanted to try once too though) and just being kids about town and a whole other half of which I shouldn’t say on here, you are a part of why i would never want to relive my chilhood over again. I loved those days and cherish them still. Thanks for being our younger Uncle. Rusty
