1929 – 2022
Reinhold died peacefully in his 94th year and his soul has gone to be reunited with his beloved Erika.
A caring father to his daughters Karin Luke (Brian Festing) and Karola Carey.
A beloved Opa to his grandchildren Steven Luke (Delaine), Aaron Carey (Aline) and Kristen Moulden (Shawn)
A wonderful “Little” Opa to his great grandchildren Gavin Luke and Charlee Moulden.
He will be greatly missed by all his family in Germany and friends and staff at Amica Dundas.
Reinhold grew up as a city boy but he chose as his life’s career to be in farming. He came to Canada 65 years ago with his wife and two small children. He worked hard in farming for 36 years in Binbrook and Copetown before retiring to St. George. He finally had time to travel the world. He was also a skilled carpenter designing and building furniture.
He loved playing all kinds of card games, shooting a game of pool and going to the casino.
Per his wishes no visitation or memorial service will take place. Burial will be attended by family only.
In lieu of flowers a donation to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
Opa, you will be truly missed by many. Oma has been waiting for you. Bis wir uns weidertreffen.
We broke bread with Reinhold for several years at Amica. He was a fine person with a great sense of humour and really miss his company. He had a close association with Marlies as she also was born in Germany.
He will be long remembered by us.
Sincerely, Marlies & Alan Clark, Unit 5505, Amica, Dundas
We will miss you bunches. But most of all all the card games that you lost and I would learn a new Germany word.
We will really miss our Sundays at the Amica Pool hall where you would move the cue ball and no one would say a thing about it because you are Opa.
You will be missed lots but we are happy that where ever you are you are with Oma again.
Lots of hugs and kisses for all the ones we’ll miss.
Steve, Delaine and Gavin
Karola … I am thinking of you and your family with the loss of your dad. It has been years since I’ve seen him, but I recognized his picture right away.

Aaron and Aline,
Please know that you have my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
The world has lost a truly good person. We have fond memories of our get togethers at Loni and Werner’s and the occasional visit to the pig farm. It seems so long ago. I guess that is because it really was a long time ago. Our thoughts are with the family at this time.

Thinking of you Karin and Karol during this time of loss. I loved going to visit my Onkel Reinhold and Tante Erika in the big farm house. Such fond memories of our times together. Our thoughts are with you all.
