Born March 7, 1924 in Onut, Ukraine, died peacefully at the age of 96, on April 12, 2020. The only child of Steve and Dorothy Bozyk, John came to Canada with his mother in 1933 to join his father and became a lifelong resident in the Dundas area. He leaves behind a legacy of being an honest, hard working, kind and generous man. He will be sadly missed. Due to the COVID 19 restrictions, a private family internment has already taken place.
Love you and miss you Papa John.
I remember the Bozyk family when growing up in West Flamborough Village. My father, Lloyd BETZNER and John were the same age and grew up together. They were great friends as kids, and Dad would talk about the things he and John would do together. RIP Mr. Bozyk.
Connie BETZNER Gilmour.
My sincere sympathy to Uncle John’s family and friends. John was married to my father’s sister Florence. Our family loved him dearly. He was a true gentleman and man of honor and integrity. He contributed so much love and laughter to our family…and we are forever grateful for him coming into our lives. Uncle John will not be forgotten.
John, I am missing you. As your personal care giver, we had days where it was you helping me by making my heart smile. Our trips to Tim Hortons and how you would always says “I’ll have what you’re having because you take good care of me”. I was honoured to walk the journey with you. It was my pleasure my friend. I will never forget you.
