Young, Ralph Ormond – Peacefully, in his 91st year, Ralph passed away at Highgate Residence, his home away from home where he had resided for the past several years. Ralph is predeceased by his wife Elsie May (Riley) Young and siblings Lloyd, Calvin, Mary and Violet. He will be forever missed by his sons Gary (Lyn), Gregory (Shirley) and grandchildren Kyle and Janine. His love, humor, sage advice, and wit will not be forgotten. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to the amazing staff at Highgate Residence for their unwavering support, joy, and happiness they brought to Ralph every day. As Ralph was an avid supporter of local charities, donations to the charity of your choice in lieu of flowers would be greatly appreciated. The family welcomes you to join us at The Turner Family Funeral Home, 53 Main Street, Dundas, for visitation Wednesday evening, August 9th, from 7 to 9 p.m. and a Celebration of Life service at the funeral home to be held on Thursday, August 10th at 11 a.m. with a reception to follow.
Gary I was so sad to hear of the passing of your father on Friday. Please know that my thoughts are with at this time. I’m sure he is now at peace and in a better place. I’m sure in time your memories will comfort you.

Sorry to hear of the loss of a true gentleman. I will miss my church companion. My sincere sympathy to all of Ralph’s family. May your many happy memories bring you comfort at this time of loss. Janice Duncan
My heart felt condolences to Ralph’s family and friends. I had the privilege of knowing Ralph as a client and later as a dear friend at High Gate. I was his nurse until I retired a few months ago. We often did Sing a longs with the Residents. I could always count on Ralph to bring his mouth organ. He loved his music. He will be greatly missed. He was always ready to participate in any activity. I appreciated his quiet, contented spirit, with that wonderful sense of humor. We pray that the Lord will give you the strength and comfort you with His Presence. I know that Ralph attested to that faith. Blessings, Tina Vandenburg
To Greg and Shirley, Kyle and Janine, our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time of sorrow.
May your good memories and happy times comfort you as you accept the death of your father and grandfather.
