Whittaker, Pauline (nee Smith) – After a courageous battle with cancer, Pauline passed away in her 80th year surrounded by her family. Cherished wife of Joseph. Pauline was born in England and immigrated to Canada with her family in 1972. Pauline was a long time member of the Ladies Auxillary at the R.C.L Br. 36 and also enjoyed daily shopping trips and Bingo with her many friends and family. A celebration of Pauline’s life will take place at the R.C.L. Br. 36 on Monday November 16th from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations to Help a Child Smile Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
“She’s an angel watching over us now.”
For two decades, I had the pleasure of working with Pauline at Canterbury Hills. Her good humour and cheerful smile somehow were translated into magnificent meals, enjoyed by all. She’ll be long remembered with deep respect and affection.
Our thoughts and condolences are with your family at this sad time.
Pauline was a wonderful person, she will be missed! Rest in Peace Pauline.

My sincere condolences to the Whitaker family at this very sad time. I worked at Canterbury in the 80’s and it was such a comfort to come in from the cold to eat some of Pauline’s wonderful food and always a hilarious time would ensue. When I think of her it brings a smile to my face – we had such fun. She will be in my heart forever. God bless.
