December 27, 1949- October 4, 2013
Haynes, Anthony George Frederick-It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Anthony George Frederick Haynes on Friday, October 4th, 2013 in his 64th year. He will be greatly missed by his spouse Dee Wilson, daughters Kristina & Klaudia Haynes, Dee’s daughters Candice (and son, Niza) & Courtnay Wilson.
Loving family residing in England include sisters Pauline (David) Clifton, Melanie (Robin) Haynes, nephew Richard and niece Lydia Clifton. We would like to thank the following for their caring, support and prayers: Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice, Dr. Moriarity, Susana Baun & family and Yasmeen Minocher. There will be a private “Celebration of Life” to be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
Weep not for my sake. Turn again to life, and smile.
It is with great sadness that I say “see you later” to Tony. We’d known each other for five years, same time I’ve known my good friend Tina, his wonderful and strong daughter. There was never a dull moment when you were around Tony. There was always a smile on his face, and in my mind, this is the image I will carry with me, Tony smiling, Tony lifting up Klaudia, Tony cracking jokes about Aston Vila never winning the English championship (what championship escapes me, as soccer in general does). When I think about Tony I also think about Susana Baun and the forces they combined to look after the family. He had created this circle of love around his “girls” and Susana helped to bind it all together- Needless to say that Tony was a loving father, sounds like a cliche, but he really was. In the five years I knew him, not one year went by when he didn’t travel to wherever Kristina happened to be to pay her a visit. He would meet her friends, become one of them and always be happy just to be with her daughter. That’s when I met him. When he came to visit Tina to Barcelona. And then I went to visit with them in Hamilton, and Tony was there to receive me and smile and just being a good guy. He was a good guy, happy and family-loving. He was a good human being. And he will always be remembered with a smile.
And as of my friend, Kristina, you’re strong and I know how difficult it is and will be, but you can do it. Have a little faith in life and in your friends and family who will always be by your side. You are one of the kindest people I know, never lose that. Never forget you’re not alone. We love you Tini.
Tina, our condolences to u and ur family. We are saddened with his loss because we know that ur daddy is a very kindhearted person even though we have not met him yet. I know how u feel because I lost my daddy too, 2yrs ago, and it is really tough. But then, God has His own reasons in which we would not understand for now. Just keep the faith and keep praying. He is in a better place now, where there is no more pain, hardships and difficulties. Tina, u need to be stronger now, for ur mom and klaudia and we believe in u. We will continue to pray for tony and also for ur family. God bless u more. – Paul & Beth
I am so sad that when I come back from Vietnam in a couple of months you will not be around to sit and chat with me towards the end of the day as we did on and off at the office. If it wasn’t for you prodding me Anthony, to pursue my dream, I probably wouldn’t be here now. Thank you for that! To Dee, and the rest of Anthony’s family, my thoughts are with you during this difficult time. How blessed weren’t we all to have Anthony as a husband, father, brother and friend!
Anthony’s loving and lasting legacy are his daughters.
I am a dear friend of Kristina’s and it hurt to find out the news that a great man in her life had passed. I never met him, but he did a fine job with Kristina and had a great influence.
Much love to those whose heart he impacted, and may he rest in eternal paradise.
Peace~!~
To Anthony’s family,
My thoughts and prayers are with you in this difficult time. I am so sorry for your loss.
Sincerely,
Karen Morgan

To Dee and Kristina and Klaudia, and family, From Anthony’s uncle Fred and auntie Eva and family in England.
You are all in our thoughts, and we wish you all the strength to cope with losing Anthony. We still have very happy memories of our visit to Dundas(via Niagara Falls), in 2009, when we spent a lovely time talking over family memories, with Anthony and Dee, and we also got to meet Klaudia with her lovely smile. we never realised at the time how special the day would become.
Anthony has been a special person all of his life and his dedication to his family is a testament to his character (Auntie Freda and myself, think some of this strength came from his granda Wrightson), and he has obviously passed this on to Kristina.
We also got to meet Anthony in England last year, I cherish the photos from the visit, and all these moments are precious in our memories now.
All our love goes out to you all from Fred and Eva and family, across the pond in North East England.
God Bless.
SUCCESS
To laugh often and love much;
To win the respect of intelligent persons
And the affection of children;
To earn the approbation of honest critics
And to endure the betrayal of false friends;
To appreciate beauty;
To find the best in others;
To give of one’s self;
To leave the world a little better,
Whether by a healthy child,
A garden patch
Or a redeemed social condition;
To have played and laughed with enthusiasm
And sung with exultation;
To know that even one life has breathed easier
Because you have lived –
This is to have succeeded.
Ralph Waldo Emerson
One could say that Daddio’s life was a successful hit.
All my love to you all
I met Anth at Alcan Industries in Banbury, Oxfordshire, England during 1966. He was an apprentice engineer and I a trainee secretary. Every Friday he, together with his work mates, would queue for their wages outside of the cash office which was opposite the Mail room where myself and three other trainees were located. Anthony, a good-looking young man with his distinctive red hair, gleaming smile and a glint in his eye, always led the cheeky banter whenever we girls passed them in the corridor.
We would meet up in the canteen at the local Technical College we attended two afternoons and evenings per week as part as our apprenticeships, as well as the occasional dance. I am very saddened to learn of his passing and with a heavy heart trust he has once again taken flight under the wings of his Mother, Jean. Love Yvonne x
Although I only met Anthony a couple of times, I instantly adored him. Within moments, he got me to feel relaxed, happy and welcomed in his home. Because of him, I always joked with Kristina that I was an adopted member of the family.
Words cannot express how deeply sorry I am about Anthony’s passing. My heart goes out to the family-immediate and extended.
I really wish I could be there with you all now. Please know that you are always in my heart and in my thoughts.
Kristina, you are truly one of my dearest friends and I love you with all my heart. I admire you courage and heart-never forget your strength dear friend. And never forget how much love and support surround you.
Love,
Andrea
To Dee, Kristina, Klaudia, Pauline, Melanie and family our thoughts are with you.
Anthony Haynes, what a man to have known, good looking as he was always telling me, kind, thoughtful and loads of fun. This I can say because that’s what he was. Anthony and I had loads of fun and laughter every time we met. Anthony was Jack and my best man at our wedding at the grand age of seventeen; he took the role very serious and did a very good job of it. All the years we knew each other we never had a crossed word. Anthony will always remain very dear in my heart, and I will miss him loads. God be with you.
Love Janice and George
To Dee, Kristina, Klaudia, Pauline, Melanie and family our thoughts are with you.
I will always remember Anthony for the two great holidays that myself and parents had in Canada when I was younger. I remember the time when we were together at Jean’s, myself, Anthony and my dad went to see the Villa (Anthony’s team) at Villa Park, well Anthony I am going back to Villa park in November to see the Villa play Sunderland (my team) so I will be thinking of you and my dad. I would like to think that Anthony and my dad are now enjoying a good laugh and joke, but knowing Anthony he is probably getting told off by his mother.
Love Michael and Jane
To the Family:
Just to let you know that I am thinking of you at this difficult time. We will all miss Anthony with his quick wit and British charm. My condolences and prayers.

For Anthony: We are so sad to have lost you, but very glad that we knew you. I hold fond memories of childhood times spent together, cycling the country lanes around Swalcliffe, and on odd occasions when you came to the North, swimming in the cold North Sea at Seaburn. How chuffed we both were, still as teenagers, to be asked to be Best Man and Bridesmaid for the wedding of my brother Jack with Janice in Sunderland. Very soon, you got your first Mini and with great delight you took my Dad, your Grampy Wrightson, for a test drive around the country lanes of Oxfordshire. You both came back with big grins on your faces as I think you’d burned up a few S – bends in some style! Like Grampy Wrightson you touched a lot of lives with warmth, laughter and care, and inherited his remarkable ability to hold court with warmth and good humour, no matter what the circumstances.
Although we met infrequently during our adult years (you to Canada, me to Australia) it was always fabulous to be greeted by that huge smile and the biggest bear hug ever, most recently barely a year ago. That lovely reunion in the North East of England along with Mel, Pauline, David and the extended Wrightson clan will be valued as a treasured memory by all of us, though none of us could have imagined its extra significance. We can only hope that in some small way it gave you some heart for what was to come, and for the brave, brave, way in which you and your close family faced it.
To Kristina and Klaudia and Family, Dee and Family, Pauline and David and Family, Mel and Robin, our love and warmest thoughts to you all at this most difficult of times. Anne and Chris.
