In loving memory of Paul Kennelly, who peacefully passed away on January 8th 2024. Beloved husband of Janet (nee Casali) and devoted father to Cheryl (John), Christopher (Victoria) and Monica (Christopher), a cherished grandfather, brought joy to his family and friends with his good sense of humor. He found solace in the outdoors and cherished his close bond with neighbours.
A special thank you to all the caring staff at Norfolk General Hospital, Paul’s PSWs and Elana from Home Health, who provided such compassionate care with their unwavering commitment and kindness.
Visitation will be held on Thursday January 18th from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm, at the Turner Family Funeral Home (53 Main Street, Dundas). A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday January 19th at 10am at St Augustine’s Parish (58 Sydenham Street, Dundas) with a reception to follow at the Hamilton Air Force Association, 128 King St E, Dundas.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to a charity of your choice, honoring Paul’s spirit of generosity and compassion. May his laughter and love continue to resonate in our hearts.
Jan my thoughts and prayers are with you and the family. There are no words when you lose a loved one. Treasure the memories.Cheryl Zinszer
Forever friends, those who you admire, respect, and find funny need to be considered precious in our lives. Paul was all of that and while we were thousands of miles apart for decades, when we touched base, he lit up my heart and we laughed at some of the crazy times we shared. I will miss him every day.
So sorry to hear about Paul he was a great friend
Dad,
From when you were a child you have shown everyone that you are the strongest person. The Doctors told you that you would never walk again and you proved them wrong. I hear all the stories about you playing football and that everyone was afraid to get tackled by you. I remember going to watch you play Tennis every Saturday and then always hitting the pop shop on our way home. From our family trips and Sunday Dinners. As time went on your Polio has come back and your strength and attitude was incredible. You fought a good fight. I am definitely going to miss our 1pm phone call almost everyday while I eat my lunch at work. When I said I love you , You responded No I love you more. Well Dad No I love you more.
My sincerest condolences on Paul’s passing.
One of the classiest men I’ve had as a friend ..RIP Paul…condolences to his wonderful family.
I always remember playing euchre as a child with the card shuffler . The sunday get togethers with all the cousins .v a much simplier time. You overcame so much . You were a powerful example and always appreciated your sense of humour
I recall many family gatherings at my Aunt Margaret and Uncle Joe Kennelly’s home. As children my siblings Dan and Liz and I grew up with Paul, Pat and Theresa. I was aware that Paul’s health had deteriorated with the passage of time. Our condolences to Janet, Cheryl, Christopher, Monica and their families at this difficult time.
Sincerely,
Mary & Brian

Hi Jan
Although I had never met Paul. I feel that in some way I had. You talked so proudly about him during our at work lunches. I am so sorry for your loss. You are going to miss him greatly, but as you move forward remember all the good time. Memories last forever.
