Passed away peacefully on September 11, 2021 in his 81st year. Beloved husband of the late Susan (2014). Loving father to John (Sherrie), Pamela and predeceased by Lynne (2011). Caring grandfather to Jennifer, Jacob, Steven, Jason and Brandon. A private service has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations to the YMCA Hamilton would be greatly appreciated.
Passed away peacefully the morning of September 11 in his 87th year. Loving husband to Etta for 62 years. He will be dearly missed by his two daughters Elaine (Malcolm) Clarke, Julie (Steve) Harris and three grandsons Cameron, Christopher and Daniel. Jack was an avid sports fan. He curled for many years at the Dundas Granite Curling Club. His love of soccer was never more apparent when watching his favourite team Motherwell. He was the most devoted husband, best dad and greatest Papa our family could have asked for and he will be forever in our hearts. A private family service will be held at a later date. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at St. Joseph’s Hospital for their gold standard service.
Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 with family by her side. Predeceased by her husband Harry. Dearly loved and missed always by her children David Scott and Goldie Rush (Scott); grandchildren Kenny Scott (Stephanie), Harry Scott (April), David Scott (Hailey), Connor Rush (Rob), Bronwyn Rush (Christopher) and Keely Rush (Marcie); great-grandchildren Asher, Alice and Ella; brother Ted Bright (Don Love) and brother-in-law Dan Graydon. Predeceased by her son Kenneth and sister Judy Graydon. Thank you to the staff at West Lincoln Memorial Hospital for all your care and compassion. In keeping with Beverley’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private Graveside Service will be held.

There are no words that can truly express the deep sadness and hole left in our hearts and lives with Sean’s sudden passing on Thursday, August 26, 2021. He was the loving husband, best friend and biggest support to Kimberly. He was a incredibly loving, compassionate, patient, outstanding, and unique father to Kalen and Leah, whom he referred to as “the boy” and “the girl” so that one day when his memory was failing they wouldn’t notice. He often told them they were in his top 17 most favorite people.
Sean was the oldest child of Paul and Mary MacMillan of Mount Forest, the annoying but protective brother to Taunia (Mark Neilsen) of Mount Forest, and Amanda (Tyrone Goveas) of Kitchener. He was a great son-in-law to Lyle and Kathy Bender of Mount Forest. He was the supportive brother-in-law to Kelly Bender of Kitchener, and Kevin Bender (Manda) of Holstein. He was a role model for his nephews Jaxsen, Oliver, James, Tyler, Jack and niece Victoria.
Sean started a career as a child and youth worker, then transitioned into teaching, which he always thought would have raised a few eye brows of his former elementary school teachers. Working at St. Francis of Assisi in Guelph, he made an impact as the only male teacher on staff amongst an amazing group of women. He wanted learning to be fun in Grade 4, the “best grade ever”, where each year he tried to convince his students that he had never made a mistake or at least since 1986. Involved in different extracurricular activities, Sean especially enjoyed the excitement of those participating in chess club.
He was a loyal friend to an incredible number of people from curling, da boys from work and MoFo. Individually and in groups they have created ridiculous and crazy memories of time spent together cottaging, curling, golfing, hunting, fishing, attending sporting events and concerts. If asked, Sean would admit to being an encourager, but never the instigator in any of the mischief they found.
A most sincere thank you goes out to our cottage neighbors John and Lillian Ross, and remarkable friends Chris and Lisa Mills, Cliff Moore for their help in our time of need. To our extended family, thank you for your love and support through this most difficult time. Visitation will be held at Turner Family Funeral Home, 53 Main St., Dundas Ont. on Thursday September 2nd, from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Covid protocols and masks are required.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to mability.ca, a fund set up to support our friends’ daughter’s journey dealing with cerebral palsy. Alternatively, a charity of your choice would also be appreciated.
