April 20, 1936 – June 23, 2019
Passed away peacefully at the Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice on Sunday June 23, 2019 at the age of 83. Gwen will be missed dearly by Bill, her loving husband of over 61 years. Gwen was a wonderful mother to her daughter Rene and son Bill Jr. and a marvelous sister to her brother Jim. She will always be remembered fondly by her many friends and family. Rest in peace now, Gwen. Cremation has already taken place and a Celebration of Life will occur at a later date. Heartfelt gratitude for the compassionate care Gwen received by the extraordinary staff at the Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice would be sincerely appreciated by the family.

Good bye to my friendly, sweet neighbor. God’s blessing to Bill, Rene, and Bill Jr. Take care of each other.
I am so sorry to hear of Gwen’s passing. . I first met Gwen at the Dundas Tennis club many years ago and even after she stopped playing, it was always nice to chat to her at the Ladies Tennis Luncheons. I know that she met her illnesses with great dignity and I’m sure she will be greatly missed by her family.

Gwen was a wonderful and brave lady. Throughout her illness she remained positive and optimistic. She also enjoyed her photography as well as singing and dancing and said many times she loved living in Garth Trails. We will miss our occasional drives in the countryside with Gwen and Bill and having lunch at some of Gwen’s favourite places to eat along the way. We extend our heartfelt condolences to Bill, Rene and Bill Jr.

Deepest condolences to Bill and family. I was always amazed with Gwen’s optimistic attitude despite her bouts of illness and her vitality. I looked forward to my visits with Gwen and enjoyed the conversations that Gwen, Bill and I always had. A bright light has dimmed but I believe Gwen will always be with those who cared about her. Gwen, your presence will be missed. You can rest now.
