Taylor, Linda Margaret – It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of Linda Margaret McArthur Taylor, daughter of late Margaret Hanes McArthur and Lloyd McArthur. In her 67th year, surrounded by her two children, Linda died peacefully in hospital following a stroke. She will be sorely missed by her husband James B. (Jim) Taylor, her children Dallas and Delana (Pete), and her grandchildren Callaway, Blake, Austin, Colton, Harley and Alex. As well as the vast amount of family, friends and critters that had the pleasure of crossing paths and meeting her throughout the years starting at the 4 way stop to Taylor Farms. It will be a tremendous loss for the Flamborough community. In her final days, she received her final prayers of being with her son and daughter and their children in the same room, enjoying each other’s company. With a hand picked bunch of flowers from your garden, your favourite pair of cowboy boots on, the family would like to invite you in coming and sharing your memories on Thursday afternoon and evening from 2-4 and 7-9 at the Turner Family Funeral Home, 53 Main Street, Dundas, where Linda’s Service will be held on Friday at 11:00 a.m. In Linda’s memory, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family. A luncheon will be held at Rock Chapel United Church, Friday afternoon following the interment.
“Happy trails to you – keep smiling til we meet again!” Love, Linda xoxo

Dear Linda and Families
We are very sorry for your loss We will always remember our wonderful times together with your animals the sweet dogs and horses. We had a lot of fun at your families picnics and you treated Henri and I like we were part of your family. I know you will be spending a lot of time at rainbow bridge with your animals as they were a big part of your life. You will be sadly missed love Carol Henri and the cats.
I was shocked and saddened to hear of Linda’s passing. She was a wonderful character, with a big, kind heart. Chatting with her when I picked up my veggies was one of the highlights of my day during the warmer months, My family and I will miss her very much. Our deepest sympathies to Dallas and the whole family.
Please accept our condolences on Linda’s passing. We’ll certainly miss seeing her at Taylor Farms. Shopping for fruits and vegetables just won’t be the same. – Mark Shurvin and Tracey De La Cruz
Although I have not connected with Linda for many years, I have such wonderful memories of her. When we were teenagers, my cousin Marion (Chappel) Hewick, Linda, and I would go riding along the concession to the beautiful farm where Linda lived. Since I was younger than them, I felt so privileged to be allowed to go with them. Linda rode Goldie, Marion rode her Dixie, and I was excited to be along with them riding my horse, Queenie. For me it was an event, and something that I have always treasured, as they made me feel welcome. As a young teenager, that really meant something to me.
I also remember being so proud to see Linda ride the horses to the post at the newly opened Flamborough Downs!! I was so excited to see her and felt very proud because I knew her!
When I think of Linda, I think of how kind she was to a young teenager and of the smiles and laughter that we enjoyed.
No doubt Linda will be missed by many people that she has touched over the years. I am grateful that I am one of the ones fortunate enough to have been able to know her, even if for too short a time.
My condolences go to all her family and friends at this sad time.
I shall miss my visits with Linda. She made shopping for produce an experience rather than an errand.
My condolences to Dallas, Heather and the family. I just heard the news and am shocked that she is gone. I wanted to have her over to our new home for dinner. She was so kind always to me, and I have a wonderful cat ( Dinah) from her. My family will miss her and so will Dinah ( who liked the homemade cat food Linda could whip up with leftover vegetables, eggs, etc. from the Taylor Farm. )
We are sorry that we can’t attend the funeral, as we just found out. Let me know if there is anything we can do to help you in this time of mourning.
God Bless you, Allyson, Ryan & Dinah
Our condolences to Dallas, Blake, Colton, Jim and Delana and her family. We just heard the sad shocking news of you dear mother/wife/grandmother and we were sorry we missed the funeral.
Linda was such a nice, giving & hardworking human being. She always had amazing stories to tell and a friendly “Hi Folks!” greeting. We will miss seeing her at the Taylor’s Farm.
Our Deepest Sympathy to her entire family and all that knew and loved her.

Our entire family sends our deepest sympathy on learning of your mother’s passing. We were so shocked to hear about this sad news. She was a very warm, caring, friendly and kind-hearted person and her little surprises to our front door across the road will be missed! May she forever rest in peace.
With tears and a heavy heart, I learned of Linda’s passing when I went to get my usual strawberries at this time of year. As I found it closed, I went to Shelley’s to find out what happened. I couldn’t believe it; we are the same age. This couldn’t have happened to Linda! She was always there, through rain, shine and cold and I looked forward to our many long conversations. Unfortunately, I did not get to her funeral. I did however speak to Dallas about the circumstances of her passing. I know she will be missed by so many people who crossed paths with her whether for a short time or those who have known her since her youth and those of us inbetween. I will most certainly miss her kind heart and many stories about Flamborough as we were relatively new to the area (1968). My condolences to Dallas, Delana and their families. I know most certainly that her many pets will miss her as well.
