Born in Geleen, the Netherlands, Jack’s soul departed this world on the Feast of St. Margaret Mary and St. Hedwig. Jack is the third of five children, born to Eduard Joseph Weusten (+2008) and Aaltje Maria (Bruinsma) Weusten (+1993). Predeceased by his younger brother, Felix (2018), Jack is fondly remembered by his surviving big brother John, and much loved sisters Frances and Susan, nieces and nephews (Randy, Deborah, Daniel, Michael, Stephanie & Kira). In 1949 Jack and his family left the Netherlands and immigrated to Ontario. As a young man Jack traveled and lived in Northern Ontario, Montreal, New York City and Vancouver before his tour of duty with the Australian Army, Anzacs, in South Vietnam. After his return to Canada, Jack married Carol Macneil in 1973. Together they raised their eight children in the Hamilton area: Sarah, Paul, Mark & Anna (twins), Damian, Mary, Teresa and Jacinta. He is loved and missed by his children, their spouses, his grandchildren and great grandchildren, William, Elisia, Elora, Neil, Dominic, James, David, Thomas, Leona-Marie, Nathan, Angela, Anna, Jacobus, Johannes, Alanah-Maria, Peiter-Joseph, Koenraad, Nicholaas, Matthijs, Theodoor, Tobias, Franseska, Michael and Urban. Jack retired from the Hamilton-Wentworth Catholic School Board in 2008, with more than 28 years of cheerful service. Friends will be received by the family on Monday 18 October from 2-4 & 7-9 at Turner Family Funeral Home, 53 Main Street, Dundas. Rosary at 8:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Church, 120 Sherman Ave. North, Hamilton on Tuesday, 19 October, 2021, at 10:00 a.m., followed by Interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. For over 40 years Jack was a faithful Third Order Member of The Heralds of the Gospel. Mass Cards are available through The Virgin of Fatima Association, P.O.
