November 12, 1924 – January 10, 2019

Passed away peacefully in her 95th year at St. Joseph’s Villa, Dundas. Her sons, William “Bill”, John “Shin”, and Mark “Mickey Mouse” or “Caboose”, and their families were at her side. Born, raised and married Catholic at St. Augustine’s Church in Dundas, Edith wore her Dundas crest always proudly on her sleeve. Edith, besides raising three boys and many of their friends, was able to take on a service of participation in politics for over 30 years. Her husband, of 59 years, Walter, passed away in 2000. Besides her three sons and their spouses, Mary, Bonnie and Beverly, she leaves many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren! Very special thanks to Mabel Hoyes and Mary Thurston for their support and love over the years. As well, thanks to the LIHN’s and Bayshore for their compassion and support. The family extends their thanks to the staff at the Villa, and especially on Willow Grove. Their kindness and caring shone brightly! They brought great comfort and dignity as they cared for both Edith and the family at this difficult time. Friends are invited to Turner Family Funeral Home, 53 Main St, Dundas, on Monday January 14th from 2-4p.m. and 7-9p.m.. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday January 15th at 11:30am at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Joseph’s Villa (Willow Grove).
