Haygarth, Arthur James “Art” – Passed away peacefully at the Brant Centre, Burlington on Tuesday, November 25th in his 95th year. Predeceased by his loving wife Beatrice of 56 years. Art will be remembered and loved dearly by his daughter Linda (Douglas Goodale) of Sudbury and his son James (Patti) of Burlington. Cherished always by his grandchildren Matthew (Natalie), Ryan (Jenny), A.J. (Crystal), Bryan and Julie and great-grandchildren Zack Haygarth and Owen and Sophie Goodale. Remembered dearly by his brother Jack (Ruth). A special uncle to Cam and Robin. Predeceased by his brother Stewart and sister Eileen. Art was a long time member of the Anglican Church. He served overseas with the R.C.A.S.C. during WWII. He was employed as a Service Correspondant at Slater Steel in Hamilton, retiring in 1980 after 38 years. Special thanks to the compassionate staff at Brant Centre (Spencer Creek) for their dignified care and service, especially Dr. H, Ewa and Rosa. Art will be sadly missed by his special friends Joanne and Lynn. Friends will be received by the family on Sunday afternoon¬† from 2-5 at the Cattel, Eaton & Chambers Funeral Home, 53 Main Street, Dundas, where Art’s Service will take place on Monday at 11:00 a.m. Interment Grove Cemetery.
