It is with great sadness and heavy hearts after a long and courageous battle with cancer that we announce the passing of Francis, formerly of PEI, at the age of 80 on Dec. 24 with his beloved wife, Eleanor of 60 years and loving family by his side. Predeceased by his parents Joseph and Catherine (MacCormack), brothers Johnny (Marguerite), Andy (Anne), sisters Leona (Charlie), Gertrude (Bill), Priscilla (Wally). Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews and his dog, Molly. Will always be remembered for his kindness and generosity towards people, love of family, friends and music and his way of making people laugh. Our deepest appreciation to his nurses Joanne and Theresa and all the staff of St. Joseph’s Home Care as well as his PSW, Bailey for their extraordinary care. Cremation has taken place. Friends and family will be received at Turner Funeral Home, 53 Main St. Dundas, on Friday December 29, 2017 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Vigil prayers to be held at 2pm. Can you just imagine DAD (Johnny ) and Francis getting set to play a few tunes in Heaven this Christmas!! The wonderful memories that came flooding back when I seen this picture a few days ago. There was not a single thing safe on top of the piano when uncle Francis and Dad started playing for a gathering. GOD willing may all enjoy many more tunes when
We meet our loved ones in Heaven. God Bless

I will always remember all the fun times we all had together. The shuffle board in the basement of the house when I was a kid. The music and the laughter when we all got together. Uncle Francis was one of a kind. I will miss his sense of humour and his talent of music. I’m so grateful for all the fond memories we all shared. He will be missed not only by myself but everyone he knew. This is a time I I still wished I lived in Ontario so I could be there with you all. Love you all so very much. Please know my heart and soul is with you during this most difficult time.
